I’m not nervous but instead, I’m excited!

Maybe it’s the fact that I’m staying at home with my parents to save money, which gets rid of all the anxiety of moving out for the first time.

Or maybe it’s because my university is relatively close, being roughly a thirty-minute drive.

But I’m really excited, and I look forward to starting university.

Of course, I’d love to just magically snap my fingers to get one or two more weeks of summer vacation, but I also want to learn new things, meet new people, and make new friends.

Going to university is most definitely the right choice for me. I love learning how to program websites, applications, and software programs, and computer science was the right choice for me.

By going to an in-state university, I don’t have to sacrifice driving hours to school every day, and I get to keep sleeping in my large comfortable bed at home.

I get to continue having my own bathroom and office space in the basement where I write these stories.

It’s much better, in my opinion, than sharing a dorm and bathroom with strangers or even friends.

I value my privacy and alone time where I get to focus on writing, programming, reading…
